Ramadan Negehban Package

Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz’s incredible Negahban Ramzan Package is providing essential support to 6.4 million deserving families, with a significant budget of 30 billion rupees. What makes this initiative even more special is that, for the first time in Pakistan’s history, families will receive this assistance directly at their doorstep, without having to wait in long lines.

Free Wireless Lahore

The purpose of public Wi-Fi hotspots in the province is to bridge the digital divide by providing free, easy and reliable Internet access in major public places . The PITB has set up 200 free Wi-Fi hotspots in Lahore, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Multan, Bahawalpur and Murree districts. The Wi-Fi hotspots have been set up at educational and government buildings, public parks, market places, hospitals, railway stations, airports and bus stations.

Modern Transportation

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif approved two major transport projects in Punjab, including 20,000 electric bikes and 657 eco-friendly buses to be plied in urban areas. The chief minister also directed the preparation of a school bus proj­ect for girl students in every tehsil of Punjab, with a directive to reduce the advance amount for students.

Scheme shall be executed by Transport & Masstransit Department in consultation with Finance Department, School Education Department and Higher Education Department. The agreement to be signed between the Transport & Masstransit Department and the BOP shall be vetted by the Law Department. Furthermore, hiring services of/ engagement with the BOP for the said scheme shall be in compliance to the provisions of Punjab Procurement Rules

Cancer Hospital Lahore

For free treatment of cancer patients, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif approved the construction of a cancer hospital near Valencia Town in Lahore.

It is pertinent to mention that due to huge cost on the treatment, cancer patients often made complaints that they were denied entries in private and charity hospitals in provincial capital, therefore, Punjab government on the wishes of masses decided to build a cancer care hospital in Lahore.

Cardiology Center Sargodha

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz laid the foundation stone of the Sargodha Institute of Cardiology adjacent to the Sargodha Medical College on Faisalabad Road and visited the proposed site.

Briefed the chief minister on the cardiology project which would also include labs, nursing and doctor hostels. The chief minister directed that the ease of transportation for the people should be given priority. She said the Dr Faisal Masood Teaching hospital would also be upgraded.
